About the job
As a project engineer, you will take the responsibility of the deployment of our software solution onboard large marine vessels. Together with our data scientists you will work on optimising the system’s performance by implementing our algorithms and advanced control strategies.
This role is ideal for a working student who likes to keep the oversight and be a key player in delivering multiple projects. The position is for 1 to 3 days per week and suited for someone currently enrolled in a technical study such as (Marine) Engineering, Software Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
What you’ll do
Overseeing the installation of our software platform on new ships by guiding the onboard hardware and software installation, aligning with our automation experts and software and data engineers ensuring that our software platform is installed correctly
Act as a liaison between the customer, our team of software engineers and our software partners facilitating clear communication and acting as the main point of contact during the installations
Act as a main point of contact for our hard- and software partners and facilitate the integration of the soft- and hardware components into a final product
Assisting our team of software and data engineers with setting up the data models and deploying our savings algorithms
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s program in (Marine) Engineering, Software Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Strong Communicator: Able to convey complex ideas to tech and non-tech stakeholders
Hands-on problem solver: You are hands-on and a natural problem-solver and you get energy from getting things done
Mission-Driven: Passionate about driving sustainability in the maritime industry, climate tech, or environmental impact
